Introduction

Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) is a nationally recognized information system that familiarizes shippers, receivers and carriers with dangerous goods, and teaches them to protect the public and the environment through safe practices for handling such items. Many hazardous products are classified as “dangerous goods” and their movement between production locations, storage facilities, points of sale and points of use fall under TDG regulations. To prevent incidents and ensure the safety of the environment and the public, these products must be identified, labeled and handled as dangerous goods.
